Fire Fighter

Mission:  The mission of this programs is to provide students with the most extensive, relevant, and comprehensive training in order to prepare them for a challenging and rewarding career in the public safety field as a firefighter.

Description:  This program is designed to prepare students for employment as a Firefighter.  Training includes real-life situations.

·         Structure and Automotive Fires

·         Combustible Fluids

·         Extrications

Occupational Completion Points

·         Firefighter 1 - 210 hours

Successful completion of an OCP may qualify a student for employment.

Industry Certification & License

·         Certification Exams by the Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training (BFST) for Firefighter I & II

Program Requirements

·         TABE Test

·         "Fit For Fire" Physical Ability Test

·         ERGO Basic Skills Test

·         210  Hours

Costs

·         Tuition and Lab: $1355

·         Additional estimated costs for fees, books, and other expenses: $1270
