Automotive Service Technology 1

Mission:  The mission of this program is to prepare students for employment and/or specialized training in the automotive industry.

Description:  Technical training in the latest developments in electronics, engines, ignitions and fuel systems, turbo-charging, and computer controls is provided in classroom and in labs on both foreign and domestic vehicles.  This program is National Automotive Technician Education Foundation (NATEF) certified and offers training in Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) areas.  This program is competency based and is taught by Master Technicians.

  • Automotive Brake Diagnoses and Repair
  • Automotive Suspension and Steering Diagnoses and Repair
  • Automotive Electrical/Electronics Diagnoses and Repair
  • Automotive Engine Diagnoses and Repair

Occupational Completion Points

  • Automotive Services Assistor - 300 hours
  • Automotive Brake System Technician - 150 hours
  • Auto Suspension & Steering Technician - 150 hours
  • Auto Elec./Electronics System Technician - 300 hours
  • Engine Repair Technician - 150 hours

Successful completion of an OCP may qualify a student for employment.

  • Tuition and Lab: $3,202.50
  • Additional costs for fees, books, and other expenses

Schedule

  • Full Time Session: Monday-Friday 7:30 am -2:10 pm
  • Part Time AM Session: Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 10:30 am
  • Part Time PM Session: Monday-Friday 11:10 am - 2:10 pm
  • Evening Session: Mon., Tues., Thurs. 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm
