Business Computer Programming

Mission:  The mission of this program is to create a learning environment, which allows independent thinking, reasoning and initiative, using analytical skills, research, experimentation, and demonstration of knowledge with current computer technology to achieve employment goals.

Description:  The Business Computer Programming program offers a broad foundation of knowledge for Computer Programming.  This program is competency based.

  • Converting Problems into Detailed Plans
  • Writing Code into Computer Language
  • Testing, Monitoring, Debugging, Documenting & Maintaining Computer Programs
  • Designing Programs for Specific Uses and Machines

Occupational Completion Points

  • Information Technology Assistant - 150 hours
  • Computer Programmer Assistant - 300 hours
  • Junior Programmer - 300 hours
  • Junior Programmer II - 300 hours
  • Computer Programmer - 150 hours

Successful completion of an OCP may qualify a student for employment.

  • Tuition and Lab: $3,660
  • Additional costs for fees, books, and other expenses

Schedule

  • Full Time Session: Monday-Friday 7:30 am -2:10 pm
  • Part Time AM Session: Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 10:30 am
  • Part Time PM Session: Monday-Friday 11:10 am - 2:10 pm
