Architectural Drafting (CAD)

Mission:  The mission of this program is to prepare students for employment in the architectural drafting industry.

Description:  The Architectural Drafting (CAD) program offers training in, but is not limited to skills to support architects and architectural engineers in developing plans for buildings or structures using a variety of materials.  Computer-aided drafting is an integral part of the curriculum.  Communication and leadership skills, mathematical skills, human relations and employability skills, and safe and efficient work practices are included in this program.  This program is competency based.

Occupational Completion Points

  • Blue Print Reader- 150 hours
  • Drafting Assistant - 450 hours
  • Drafting Detailer - 300 hours
  • Architectural Drafter - 150 hours
  • Civil Drafter - 150 hours
  • Mechanical Drafter - 150 hours
  • Structural Drafter - 150 hours

Successful completion of an OCP may qualify a student for employment.

Costs

  • Tuition and Lab: $4,575
  • Additional costs for fees, books, and other expenses

Schedule

  • Full Time Session: Monday-Friday 7:30 am -2:10 pm
  • Part Time AM Session: Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 10:30 am
  • Part Time PM Session: Monday-Friday 11:10 am - 2:10 pm
  • Evening Session: Mon., Tues., Thurs. 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
