Mission:  The mission of this program is to provide students with the most extensive, relevant, and comprehensive training in order to prepare them for a challenging and rewarding career in the public safety field as a firefighter.

Description:  This program is designed to prepare students for employment as a Firefighter.  Training includes real-life situations.

  • Combustible Fluids
  • Extrications

Occupational Completion Points

  • Firefighter 1 - 210 hours

Successful completion of an OCP may qualify a student for employment.

Industry Certification & License

  • Certification Exams by the Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training (BFST) for Firefighter I & II

Program Requirements

  • TABE Test
  • "Fit For Fire" Physical Ability Test
  • ERGO Basic Skills Test

Program Commitment

  • 210  Hours
